Food and more FOOD~

First of all sincere apologies to my fellow readers for the lack of updates! Gomennasai~ Been busy with my assignment and studying for my stats exam.

Woke up early and went to Raffles Place to change swiss francs together with Lin for the upcoming Europe trip in June. I was confident that Raffles Place provides the best exchange rates in Singapore. However, due to disbelief from fellow Miss Lin, we made a trip down to Chinatown to proof her wrong. And indeed I was right. But anyways we had our brunch at Tak Po Dim Sum restaurant since we were in Chinatown. After all the tussle and hustle, I can assure you that THE ARCADE (Raffles place) has the best exchange rates you can ever find locally. So for those who are looking to exchange foreign currency, this is the place to do it~

Tak Po Dim Sum Restaurant

This dim sum restaurant in my personal view is one of the best you can find in Singapore. The dishes I like to recommend are Chicken Leg, Chee Cheong Fun (Prawn) and Century Egg Porridge. The skin of Chee Cheong Fun is smooth and it will just slip into your troat without biting. The base of the porridge is one of the thickest I have tried and the ingredients were sumptuous as well.

After exchange was done, we head down to Dr.Cafe at Plaza Singapura to start our mugging session for Evidence Based Nursing Practice assignment. And what can I say? Assignment is always a pain in the ass. =X. But with the company of my best buddies and knowing someone is in the same boat made it better just a bit. Hehe.

Sweet thought of Jon~

Hardworking?

After the brain draining session, we were proud to be invited to watch a showcase of pole dance performed by Chor May (Lin's sister) and her fellow classmates. And WOW indeed! She displayed top notch technical skills and her "trademark finisher" named the Serpent hit HOME RUN* The subsequent performances were mesmerising as well and my eyes were glued on them all the way. I would say it was a blood-gushing and rushing session. One thing to add, the dancers were HOT!*~ Especially the teacher. OMG! Faint* We head down to a traditional Cantonese Cafe at Bugis for a sumptuous dinner of steamboat and dessert right after.

Life's always great with them around. I thank god a million times for friends like them* Much <3<3<3<3

An early day once more. Volunteered my service for the MOHH exhibition held at Suntec City Convention Centre. But the sacrifice of that weeny hours of sleep on a weekend was definitely worth it as students and parents flocked to the booths to enquire about the different career options in healthcare. It was heartwarming and fulfilling to see so many people having the passion to take up a career in the healthcare industry. Managed to interact with an awesome bunch of nurses and allied health professionals as well. A day well spent indeed!

Breakkie with much love from our Auntie Lin!

Proud to be one of the healthcare family~

My elder brother was SPOTTED! XD

Lunch at Nam Nam Noodles Bar

Tried the dry version this time round*

Really love their selection of beef noodles. Beef is tender and the rice noodle was springy and not too soggy. Price is wallet-friendly as well. Definitely an eatery I would recommend for a quick fix of traditional Vietnamese cuisine.

P.S: Due to the numerous addresses of this chain restaurant, kindly google for the address by typing "Nam Nam Noodle Bar". =)

Dinner at MuChaChos

Quandellas (Beef and Pork)

Buffalo wings and Beer (Negra Modelo)

It's my first attempt on traditional Mexican flavoured burrito. The meat used was tender and savoury. The tomato salsa gave the burrito a different dimension in flavour and the spicy sauce basically sums it up. Hmm... What a beautiful ending! The sauce used to marinate the wings was special too, with a kick of sour and spiciness to it. However the meat was a bit dry for me. Guess the juiciness was lost through the preparation process. But a restaurant to recommend for a try on traditional burritos that goes perfectly well with a bottle of beer. ;)

P.S: For Asian eaters, I will recommend just getting one burrito to share between two of you. The portion is really huge and it may get a bit too much after a while (words from a big eater). That explains why 3/4 of the customers made up of Europeans and Americans.
