SIT Scholar's Night Dinner

Hiya to my readers! Pretty excited today as all the scholars from SIT were scheduled to attend a dinner held at Orchard Mandarin. It is my first time stepping into the hotel as normally the place that we will head to is at most Mandarin Gallery. Nice to see all my course mates dressed up for the occasion. Always filled with fun, laughter with them around. And of course what's fun without some alcohol? XP. So glad that I am with this cohort of students, everyone is so bonded and we will always be there for each other, lending a helping hand whenever needed. I love you guys~ =).

For the past two weeks~

HOLA! Sumimasen* Sorry for the lack of updates on my blog. Had a really busy schedule for the past two weeks and was busy preparing for my STATS exam which commenced last friday. First and for most OMG I am finally done with STATS!!! "Smash bottles, Jump and punch the air and HOORAY!" I guess all my classmates will share similar thoughts and feelings about this. XD.

Finally, I woke up my idea and decided to embark on my essay assignment for Evidence Based Nursing Practice module. Woke up early and made my way to Jurong East Regional Library. With the help of the bi-polar books I found, I managed to squeeze out 289 words for my introduction. Not bad right? Hehe. After that to reward myself for the work well done, decided to make a trip down to Red Dot Museum as there was a late night shopping bazaar event. Yes SHOPPING! After much needed shopping therapy, grabbed a drink at the bar beside the museum and headed down to Riyan's mum KTV pub to celebrate her birthday. Once again HAPPY BIRTHDAY to RIYAN!!! Stay pretty and gorgeous forever~ ;). Although we are not very close friends but really glad that I got to meet you in UOM. Let's graduate with the grades we want together, as a group and class~ =).

Hardworking!

Tian Tian Chicken Rice*

Finally I managed to add this stall to my list of conquered eateries. Everytime I pay this stall a visit it was either sold out or not opened. After the first mouthful of chicken and rice i put into my mouth, I truly understood the reason why. The rice was soft and doughy, which was different from the usual chicken rice you will taste elsewhere. The chicken was tender and the highlight of this dish was the chilli. It was SUPERB! Both spiciness and saltiness was well balanced. Clearly enjoyed my dinner while waiting for all the booths at Red Dot Museum to open. Thumbs up!

This day was a very special day. It was our dear AUNTIE LIN's birthday! Did a surprise for her in the comfort of her home with the help of the awesome people. Here hoping again that you liked the surprise we planned for you (sorry for making you disappointed back in school when we pretended that we forgot your birthday). And once again I am grateful that god let us met and became best buddies. Although people might mistaken us as a couple at times, but I sincerely feel every guy should have a "buddy-like" female friend and I am million times grateful that the person is you. Looking forward to many years of friendship down the road and hope you will be blessed with good health and success in your future endeavours. Thank you for being such a heartwarming, cheerful, fun, on siao friend and making the effort to understand me as who I am.

Yes this day had finally arrived and ended. Wanna emphasise once again, STATS I AM FINALLY DONE WITH YOU SHIT! Fistpump* Went to catch a movie (Non-stop) with Lin and Jon after the exam. Realised it was not a good idea to watch this before our trip to Manchester. OMG~

But nevertheless it was a great and entertaining movie.

Woke up and I was wondering: "What should I do today?" So with the adventurous spirit of mine and wanna get out of the house at all cost, I decided to check out this cafe named Food for Thought at Botanic Gardens. Once again I put my trust on my GPS and it failed me once again. Always ended up taking a long route to the place I want to go. Zzz. But oh well as long as I managed to reach the place in the end was all that matters. Right?

Well Said~

Thoroughly enjoyed the time spent in this cafe. The atmosphere, seating, ambience, food presentation, quality of food all met my expectations. On top of that, I managed to meet my long lost friend (Shirley Goh) that I knew back during my nursing study in Nqee Ann Polytechnic.
What a great day!
Note to future patronisers: Have a try on their breakfast menu. Although I enjoyed my choice of burger, when I glanced to the tables around me, almost everyone was eating the breakfast set with enjoyment written all over their faces. So I guess that was one of their trademark dishes in the cafe. My friend recommended their pancakes as well so these two dishes will be tackled in my next visit to this place. Hehe.

After the satisfying brunch, headed down to Orchard Road to stroll around and managed to catch up with Sam over a hearty thai dinner. Sorry for the lack of pictures. We were too starved to take pictures. HAHA~ But the food was really delicious and authentic. Here is the address to the shop.

Apparently they have other outlets spread across Singapore so do google for the addresses of other outlets.

So that basically sums up an awesome, tiring and fulfilling time spent for the past two weeks. How about you? Do leave the address of your blog, username of your facebook, instagram on the comments column if you wish to share your story with me too. ^^
